The rooms sublet are fully furnished with beds, pillows, mattresses, curtains etc. The PGs have 24 hours supply of hot and cold water and electricity. Other amenities provided are televisions, washing machines, cooking gas and utensils, water purifiers etc. If you do not want to bear the hassles of cooking up a meal, you can opt for a PG that provides you with food. These PGs are slightly more expensive than the ones that do not have food facilities. Both south and north Indian types of food are provided. PG accommodation is highly safe and they even offer maid and house-keeping services. Parking space for two wheelers like Scooties is easily available in the PG.

Before renting a PG, you should check out the locality. By talking to a few seniors of yours at work or colleagues who are residents of the city, you can have an idea about an area. PGs for women need to be in a safe area with high security which is why it is of utmost importance to research the area enough. If you manage to form a group at work or already have a group of friends looking for accommodation, it is better you stay together. Signing up for a PG with unknown roommates can be quite risky. Some PGs also demand a deposit be kept with the landlord. This amount is no more than Rs 35,000, depending on the sharing basis you are opting for. For a three sharing basis, the deposit may be Rs 30,000 whereas the rent is around Rs 5000.



If you choose to locate a PG through a broker, then you will have to pay brokerage fees. Brokerage fees are usually negotiable. However, if you look up a PG through online classifieds, then you can directly contact the owner of the PG and avoid brokerage charges. You can add the location filter in your searches for a locality where you want to live. A list of advertisements would appear in front of you and you can read up the specifications.
